Creating Nature's Corridors Sponsored Walk at Grafham Water, Cambridgeshire

1. ABOUT THE EVENT

This event is organised by Creating Nature's Corridors (Registered Charity No. 1193553), in partnership with Anglian Water. By registering for this event, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2. ENTRY FEE AND FUNDRAISING

2.1

Your entry fee covers the cost of organising and running the event and does not count towards your fundraising total.

2.2

We encourage all participants to raise sponsorship for Creating Nature's Corridors. There is no minimum sponsorship requirement, but all funds raised go directly towards planting native trees and hedgerows across the UK and Ireland.

2.3

Sponsorship monies should be paid directly via your online fundraising page where possible, or sent to Creating Nature's Corridors within 28 days of the event.

3. ELIGIBILITY

3.1

This event is open to participants of all ages. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

3.2

By registering, you confirm that you are medically fit to take part in your chosen route (3, 9 or 18 miles) and that you have no health condition that could be made worse by physical exertion or being outdoors for an extended period.

3.3

If you have any concerns about your fitness to participate, we recommend you consult a medical professional before the event.

4. PARTICIPATION AT YOUR OWN RISK

4.1

Participation in this event is entirely at your own risk. Creating Nature's Corridors and Anglian Water accept no liability for any injury, illness, loss or damage sustained before, during or after the event, except where caused by our negligence.

4.2

Participants are responsible for their own safety and that of any children or dependants accompanying them.

4.3

We strongly recommend appropriate footwear and clothing for outdoor walking, and that participants bring sufficient water and refreshments for their chosen route.

4.2

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times and under control, particularly around livestock, wildlife and other participants.

5. ROUTE AND DISTANCES

5.1

Participants may choose from a 3 mile, 9 mile or 18 mile route. Routes will be clearly waymarked on the day.

5.2

The organisers reserve the right to amend any route, in part or in full, due to weather conditions, ground conditions, or matters of health and safety.

5.3

Participants should remain on the designated route at all times and follow any instructions given by event marshals.

6. CANCELLATION AND POSTPONEMENT

6.1

We reserve the right to cancel, postpone or alter the event due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, flooding, or matters affecting participant safety.

6.2

In the event of cancellation, we will notify registered participants as soon as reasonably possible.

6.3

Entry fees are non-refundable, including in the event of cancellation, postponement, or a participant's inability to attend. We are unable to issue refunds for any reason, including but not limited to illness, change of plans, or adverse weather on the day.

6.4

Should the event be cancelled, we encourage participants to consider transferring any sponsorship raised as a direct donation to Creating Nature's Corridors.

7. TRANSFERS

Entries are non-transferable between individuals unless otherwise agreed by Creating Nature's Corridors in writing.

8. PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA

8.1

Official photography and filming will take place during the event for use in promotional materials, social media, press coverage and future marketing by Creating Nature's Corridors and its partners, including Anglian Water and Velvet Magazine.

8.2

By participating in the event, you consent to being photographed or filmed and to the use of such images for these purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform an event marshal on the day.

9. PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Creating Nature's Corridors accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings during the event.

10. CAR PARKING

Participants should park at Mander Car Park (PE28 0BX) and follow signage to the start of the event. Parking is at the participant's own risk.

11. CODE OF CONDUCT

11.1

Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards other participants, event staff, volunteers, marshals, and members of the public, and to respect the natural environment, including staying on marked paths and taking litter home.

11.2

We reserve the right to remove any participant from the event whose conduct is deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or disruptive.

12. DATA PROTECTION

12.1

Any personal information provided during registration will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at www.creatingnaturescorridors.co.uk

12.2

By registering, you may be added to our mailing list to receive updates about Creating Nature's Corridors, unless you opt out at the point of registration.

13. LIABILITY

Nothing in these terms shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
